What is Golf?
What exactly is GOLF? At first, that question may seem odd – it’s just a game after all but it actually has many answers and they may all be correct. It is so much more than just a game.
Golf can be challenging yourself to do your best. It can be challenging others to determine a winner. You can play against others as an individual or as a team. Or you can just play to play and enjoy the beauty that is presented in front of you and keeping score is actually an option.
For me, golf can be all of those things but most of all golf is a social game. It’s a time I can spend with friends, family, business partners or even someone I just met at the first tee. Golf is an EXPERIENCE.
The memories created can be shared and cherished for a lifetime. It’s not always about how good the entire round was but it can be about how incredibly well you played that one single shot. Other times, it is all about the entire round – the first time you broke 90, 80, or didn’t make a singe double bogey (I’m still looking for that round and when it happens, I’ll never forget it).
I’ll also not forget the thousands of laughs I’ve shared with so many on the links and I look forward to many more in the years to come. My best advice to all of you is to go out and create your own experiences on the links!
